Kojima Productions teamed up with animation studio E&H Production to release the debut teaser trailer for the upcoming Death Stranding Isolations anime, first announced almost a year ago. The series promises an entirely new narrative separate from the original game duology, with Hideo Kojima serving as executive producer and character designs crafted by Ilya Kuvshinov.

The story runs parallel to the finale of the first Death Stranding, following a cast of disparate characters who chose paths different from Sam Bridge’s. The teaser spotlights a girl whose mother turned into a crater, highlighting her uneasy comfort with isolation in a shattered North America. Other figures include a wise elder who links people through an uncalculable method, a soldier caught in endless conflict, and an angry boy fed up with the absurdity of his existence.

Directed by Takayuki Sano, the series features world‑class animation from E&H Production (known for Ninja Kamui, Bullet/Bullet, Magic Knight Rayearth). The premiere is slated for 2027 as a Disney+ exclusive. Meanwhile, a companion cartoon, Death Stranding: Mosquito, is in production at ABC Animation Studio, and A24 is developing a feature‑film adaptation, further expanding the franchise’s universe.
