Daybreak Games together with Standing Stone Games have launched the new expansion The Wolves of Mordor for The Lord of the Rings Online. After the defeat of Sauron, players return to Mordor where the ancient servants of the Dark Lord – werewolves – have broken free from the Gorogorot plateau and hunt anyone daring to oppose them.

The expansion opens three wild Draugardha territories – Heledhris, scorched by the Doom Mountain, Parth Rhavas with its jagged plains, and the mist‑shrouded forests of Nan Ogol. Players will face werewolf‑istlings, master fresh survival tactics, and mix skills learned from local inhabitants. Housing also gains living companions: each neighbor features twenty personality traits and a dynamic mood system, with their stories unfolding through gifts and daily quests.

The Wolves of Mordor ships in three editions: Standard Edition for $39.99 (adds the Were‑hunter title and two neighbors), Collector's Edition for $79.99 (includes the Dauntless cosmetic set, character boosters, and a third neighbor), and Ultimate Fan Bundle for $129.99 (packs Were‑wolf Hunter's cosmetics, the pet Scar the Hunter's Hound, a fourth neighbor, housing teleport, shared storage slots, an XP booster, and more). Simultaneously, the Harvestmath festival has begun, running until November 2 and drenching Mordor in a Halloween‑style atmosphere.
