The studio Valofe has announced a major update for Last Origin, unifying its fragmented storyline into a single narrative thread and replacing traditional round‑based combat with a fluid timeline system.

According to a project spokesperson, the current plot is scattered across stages, side quests, and events, making it hard to follow. The upcoming version will preserve key events and the game world while ordering them into a coherent line and fixing setting inconsistencies. Combat will be simplified: rounds and Action Points (AP) are being scrapped in favor of an action gauge that clearly indicates a character’s readiness, and battles will run on a timeline, offering a more intuitive experience for newcomers.

Alongside the overhaul, collaborations are slated for October and December with the visual novel “Sani‑yang Lab” by Tale Shop, turning protagonists Namo, Sani, Kiwi, and Ranka into bioroids within Last Origin. The crossover concept originates from the novel’s author, who is co‑planning the event with Valofe and has penned its story. The developers also aim for a Western release and have already teased a sequel, promising fresh content for the community.
