Publisher Konami together with developer Screen Burn have released a patch for Silent Hill: Townfall that adds a brand‑new Hard difficulty. It targets players who found Normal too easy and Nightmare unbearably brutal.
The update also brings balance adjustments: resource distribution in several campaign episodes has been fine‑tuned, the player’s position now appears on the map in all four modes, and enemy hearing sensitivity varies with the chosen difficulty. Heavy attack strength is reduced, but only in Story Mode. The UI receives a makeover — a warning screen appears when Nightmare is selected for the first time, difficulty descriptions are clarified, color‑blind ventilation highlights are improved, extra hints and tutorial elements are added, and the control settings menu is renamed to reflect full keyboard‑and‑mouse remapping.
Technical upgrades include DLSS ray reconstruction support for the PC version and a slew of bug fixes. The game is available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and PlayStation 5, with Russian subtitles. The patch dropped on October 29 2026, following the game’s launch on September 24 2026.
