Discord is rolling out a bold initiative: every public server with over a thousand members and open join access will receive a web page that search engines can crawl.
From November 16, 2026, search results will display summaries of discussions from public channels, and by mid‑December selected messages will appear in full, stripped of usernames and avatars. The feature is enabled by default, but server admins can exclude specific channels or disable it entirely, while users can opt out of having their messages indexed.
Closed servers, direct messages, and group DMs remain untouched. Currently more than 63,000 Discord servers qualify for discovery, aiming to make valuable conversation reachable to a wider audience.
