Blizzard Entertainment has found itself at the center of a fresh controversy: the newest patch for the World of Warcraft: Forever beta reshuffled core racial traits. Tauren accuracy was reduced by 1%, with the reclaimed bonus transferred to Alliance races – humans, dwarves and draenei.
Developers justified the move as an effort to highlight each race's unique identity, even if it makes certain nations more effective in specific combat roles. The community reaction was immediate and fierce; Horde players accused the studio of clear favoritism toward the Alliance, while some defenders reminded that the Horde has long dominated PvP and that the changes make sense within the lore.
The full launch of WoW: Forever is slated for early next month, but Blizzard has not confirmed whether further tweaks to racial passives will be made before release. According to gamesradar, the issue will remain under close scrutiny by the player base until the official debut.
