Capcom released its consolidated financial figures for the first half of the current fiscal year (April‑September 2026). Revenue surged by 49 % compared with the same period last year, operating profit rose 54.5 %, ordinary profit jumped 67.5 %, and net profit increased 56.6 %. Income from entertainment centers and gaming equipment also showed a solid upswing.
The digital content segment drove the bulk of the growth: sales volume reached ¥85.141 million, a 70.8 % increase, while operating profit in the segment climbed 66.7 % to ¥52.308 million. The brand‑new sci‑fi shooter Pragmata has already shipped over 2.7 million copies, hitting one million sales in just two days and two million in a little over two weeks. The freshly launched Onimusha: Way of the Sword, released on September 4, has sold more than 1.7 million copies.
Legacy titles continue to perform strongly. Resident Evil Requiem, launched in the previous fiscal year, surpassed the 8 million‑copy mark, boosting sales of classic entries like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2. Monster Hunter sales are climbing ahead of the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance expansion, and Devil May Cry 5 topped 14 million copies after its Nintendo Switch debut this summer. Overall, digital content units reached 36.86 million, far outpacing the 23.85 million recorded a year earlier, setting the stage for further expansion.
